“My wife and I couldn’t be more pleased with Kendra’s work. She provided us with window treatments for our whole home. The quality and design are outstanding; they add so much color and finish to all our rooms and are worth every penny that we paid for them. The installation process was flawless. She was very thorough and job focused and completed the entire installation in a very short time. If you’re contemplating remodeling your home or decorating a new home as we were, and this includes new window treatments, I would whole-heartedly recommend contacting Kendra. You won’t be disappointed.”

“As a professional interior designer, I have worked with Kendra for years. After working with few other specialists before meeting her, I made Kendra my dedicated window treatment source. Even if I am not at the meeting with my client, I know she will display the professionalism that I can expect from all my sub-contractors. She is soft spoken, patient, knowledgeable, attentive to details, and an outstanding communicator. She is great! Thanks for being part of my team, Kendra!”

“Simply Windows was a FABULOUS find. I was referred to Kendra by another broker colleague. She was easy to deal with and had great advice on the type of window treatments to go in my new home. She constructed amazing cornices for my family room. She’s incredibly talented and has a great eye for color and style.”

“Kendra and her team measured my windows for faux wood blinds and had them made to order and installed within two weeks. They fit perfectly, look fantastic, and open and close with ease. The price was quite reasonable, significantly better than the online blinds stores. I would definitely recommend Simply Windows. It’s so nice to be able to work with the business owner rather than partially knowledgeable representative that the chain stores send out!”

What Custom Draperies, Shades, Blinds, and Shutters Work Best for Westwood Homes?

Westwood pairs classic New England neighborhoods with a wave of newer development around University Station and the Route 128 corridor. The right window treatment depends on which kind of Westwood home you're dressing — and how you live in it.

Custom Draperies for Westwood's Colonial Interiors

Westwood's colonial and Georgian-style homes near Islington Center and High Street often feature tall, formal windows suited to custom draperies . Our designers work with a curated fabric library — including Kravet, Stout, and Kasmir — to create treatments that frame your windows and add warmth to traditional rooms.

Motorized Shades for Westwood's Newer Homes and Condominiums

Westwood's newer residences near University Station often feature open floor plans and large windows suited to a more streamlined approach. Our motorized window shades are powered by Hunter Douglas PowerView or Lutron. They operate quietly on a custom schedule or with a single touch, managing glare and protecting your interiors without extra upkeep.

Custom Shutters for Classic New England Architecture

For Westwood's historic colonials and Cape-style homes, custom plantation shutters deliver timeless light control with architectural integrity. We engineer solutions for deep-set windows, wide bays, and non-standard frames — never off-the-shelf sizing.

Hunter Douglas Duette® Honeycomb Shades for Energy Efficiency

For Westwood homes with large glass footprints, our Hunter Douglas Duette® Honeycomb Shades deliver exceptional thermal performance. They trap air at the window surface, reducing heat loss in winter and solar gain in summer. Paired with custom draperies, they create a layered solution that performs beautifully across New England's full range of seasons.

Why Westwood Homeowners Choose Simply Windows

Westwood clients choose Simply Windows because Kendra Weldon brings 20+ years of interior design experience to every project. That means you're working with a creative partner who understands this town's architectural character, not just a window treatment dealer.

From our Hunter Douglas and Lutron motorized collections to hand-selected fabrics from Kravet, Duralee, and Stout, every recommendation is made with your specific home in mind.

White Glove installation is included from start to finish, with no subcontracting and no shortcuts.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can window treatments help with energy efficiency in a Westwood home?

Absolutely. New England's cold winters and warm summers make insulation a real consideration for Westwood homes, especially those with large windows. Hunter Douglas Duette® Honeycomb Shades are engineered to trap air at the window surface, which helps reduce heat loss in winter and solar gain in summer. Paired with custom draperies, they create a layered solution that performs well across every season.

  • What types of window treatments and brands does Simply Windows carry?

Simply Windows carries a comprehensive range of custom window coverings, including Hunter Douglas shades and blinds, Lutron motorized systems, Norman Shutters, Alta Window Fashions, and Horizons Window Fashions. Our drapery program draws from premium fabric houses including Kravet, Duralee, Stout, Kasmir, Carole, and Greenhouse. Whether you want motorized shades for a newly built home near University Station or hand-tailored draperies for a formal colonial, we have the product depth to deliver.

  • How does the in-home window treatment consultation process work?

After you reach out, we'll schedule a time that works for you. Kendra or a member of our design team will arrive at your Westwood home with a complete sample library — fabrics, shade materials, shutter finishes, and hardware — so you can see every option in your home's natural light alongside your existing furnishings. We take precise measurements, talk through your goals for light control, privacy, and style, and put together a detailed proposal. There's no pressure and no obligation, just design-forward guidance.

  • What window treatments work best for Westwood's colonial and new construction homes?

Westwood's architectural mix calls for a tailored approach. For historic colonials and Georgian-style homes near the town center, custom draperies in premium fabrics and plantation shutters for deep-set windows suit the formal proportions well. For newer homes and condominiums near University Station, motorized Hunter Douglas PowerView or Lutron shades deliver precise light control without disrupting clean architectural lines. Kendra Weldon will assess your specific home and make targeted recommendations during your in-home consultation.
